Apple Store App Update now supports In-Store Self Checkout

The new update to the "Apple Store" app for iOS now has added support for their new self checkout for its retail stores. To use this new feature you will use the app to scan the barcode of shelf-stocked items and you will purchase them using your Apple account. This will be great because every Apple store I go to has so many people in them, but now you wont need to talk to anyone.

Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 Update Jailbreaks iOS 5.0.1 beta

Yesterday Apple released iOS 5.0.1 to developers and the next day we already have a jailbreak, but of course it is tethered. Which means you will have to have to plug your device up to your computer and run a program to reboot (turn it off and back on) your device. This is also the option of doing a semi tether when rebooting your device though, which will reboot you into a non-jailbroken state if you done normally. Check inside for download links and which devices this jailbreak supports...

Google+ iPhone App Update: Hangouts, Messenger, and more.

Just a few days ago Google+ opened to the public and launched some nice new features. Now they have also updated the iPhone app with some new features like: join Hangouts from the app, Huddle has now been changed to messenger, Send photos in Messenger, +1 on Comments, and some other small changes and bug fixes.

Hangouts on mobile is what I'm most excited about. If you haven't tried it yet, I suggest you get some friends on it and have a Hangout. With the new updates you can now join a Hangout that shows up in your Google+ timeline. They haven't added support to start a hangout from the mobile app but hopefully that will come in the future. Anyways, from what I've used its pretty awesome and doesn't seem to have to much lag over wifi.

UPDATE: Also looks like they've added iOS 5 support since everything seems to be working.
