Pod2g Demos iPad 3 iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak

As you see in the video above Pod2g is showing a demo of his iPad 3 jailbroken and untethered on iOS 5.1. This is good news for everyone on iOS 5.1, if it gets released. But now iOS 5.1.1 is out. As of now I'm not sure what his plans are to release the next jailbreak but I will keep you updated. Jailbreaking Is Not a Crime!

The EFF is asking the U.S. Copyright Office to declare that jailbreaking does not violate the DMCA, and they need our help. In 2010, the Copyright Office said jailbreaking smartphones doesn't violate the DMCA. This year, they're asking them to renew that exemption (otherwise it will expire) and expand it to cover tablets and video game consoles.

Absinthe Jailbreak Downloaded 1 Million Times in 24 Hours

The Chronic Dev Team released their Absinthe Jailbreak for the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 last Friday and it was downloaded over 1 million time in less than 24 hours. This was also only the Mac version, since the Windows version wasn't released yet. According to Musclenerd 250,000 of those that Jailbroke were newly Jailbroken devices. This goes to show just how popular Jalibreaking has become and that people are still seaking full control of their devices.
