iOS 5 has been Jailbroken

ios 5 jailbreak

The picture above is an iPod Touch 4G running the new iOS 5 developer preview and in fact it is jailbroken. MuscleNerd posted this pictures via his twitter earlier today. This isn't a big surprise seeing as how the iPod Touch 4G and all of the other device are jailbroken with a bootrom exploit, which basically means Apple can't really patch it fully without a hardware upgrade. I'm guessing they will hold off a bit, possibly until iOS 5 is officially released to publish the new jailbreak, but either way we know it will happen. For the iPad 2 users out there still waiting for a jailbreak, just be patient. I have no details on when it will be released, but I know it will happen eventually and I'll be right here to show you how to do it.

Thanks so much for your videos without them I would have never gotten theis Iphone 3gs jailbroke and that is a must for me since I am using it with straight talk service and not AT&T. :) Sure wish one thing they would have fixed with IOS5 is the way the IPhone receives MMS I hate that it seperates it

Your iOS 5 jailbreak entact on your iOS device. This jailbreak may not be functioning for the iPad 2 or new iPhone with the A5 processor. iOS 5 may eliminate a few of the reasons to jailbreak, but the OTA may ruin your jailbroken iPhone or iPad if not backed up properly. Hopefully comex leaving for an intern at Apple won't permanently harm the jailbreak community!
