Ipod touch stuck to recovery mode pls help

Hi, i have a 3rd gen ipod with 3.1.2 firmware.

when i was installing an app from cydia, i think it froze while installing so i decided to turn it off. When i tried to turn it on, it only went to recovery mode. I thought it was just that tethered jailbreak thing so i connected it to my Pc to turn it on again. So i opened Blackra1n and i click "make it rain", but when it goes to "waiting for device..." it just crashes or just gets stuck there. Please help.

I also tried to restore my ipod touch in itunes, it it also desnt work. As i try to restore it, it gets stuck to "Preparing Ipod Restore" and an unknown error occurs (1611).

I also tried holding that power+ home button but i still could not get it to work.

wait I don't think 3G iPod comes in 8gig :confused: I could be wrong tho

so youve got an mc 8gb, youve done the blackra1n restore before (you know its tethered), but this time it froze in the middle of an app install, you turned it off, and when you tried to reboot via blackra1n you got error message, and itunes wont let you restore?

ok well 1 have you ran blackra1n before to get out of tethered boot?

2, put the thing into recovery mode and then plug it into itunes to restore
