i watched your video on how to jailbreak my itouch 2G. it was the one using quickfreedom. I was wondering if there was a updated firmware that i could use inplace of the 2.2.1 firmware that i downloaded from the video. I am trying to have the 3.0 firmware on my phone so i have the quick search when i go to the left from my home screen.

Yes, updating to 3.0 will erase all data on your iPod. So you will have to re-jailbreak and put all of your music back on.

I tried to jailbreak my iPod touch 2g using your YouTube teathered version and it didn’t finish the process. When I went to connect to iTunes, the computer would not recognize my iPod. Also, I now do not have Internet connection on my laptop, I now do not have sound, and it does not recognize anything that is plugged into it using USB. The last time this happened I updated my carrier was for 3.1 and I could never find a network. Should I update my carrier to 5.6 or leave it at 5.5?

Hey just downloaded the jailbreak video for the 2g ipod touch. It said that if you battery goes out just to re-do the boot and it should work… It worked the first time I did it but now my ipod won’t go into DFU mode.

help someone i updated to 3.0 JB and now my battery drains within one day about 8 hours the thing was my comm board went so i replaced it and when i bought a comm board the battery came with it so i just used that one and took my old one out now im wondering whether the battery drains because of this second hand battery or because of the update, should i install by old battery back any help would be appreciated as i don’t want to open and solder my old battery in to the iphone because i have never solder before

I have the 3rd gen I pod touch 8gb. I followed all of your steps for the jailbreak. Got cydia on my springboard but no matter what I do, I can not get installous on there. It shows they are all downloaded but I still cant get them on my springboard.. Any ideas? I also went into that top menu and turned installous on as some people said to do.

I followed your instructions to jailbreak and unlock the 3GS with firmware 3.1.2. I installed BlackRa1n and went to Cydia and installed BlackSn0w. Everything worked as the video showed. Then I could not make any calls with AT&T, and could not access the internet. I went to the t-mobile store. They put in one of their sim cards, and no network found. Tried rebooting the phone and now it is stuck on the apple screen. What is going on?????

I jailbroke iphone 3G, using cyndia i installed folders, (very cool app). I had to un-jailbreak phone for work related reasons and when I did all apps in “games” folders are gone. So I re-jailbroke phone, installed folders, removed all games from within the folders and unjailbroke again.

All games were back, until I did OS upgrade, all games show up in itunes, but NOT on my iphone.

Please help, how can I get these to show up on phone?

Hey man something happened to my apps from installous. they have little R’s through the icons? Know anything about that? If not, know anything about where i can get a package that has all the original app icons?

I tried to jailbreak my ipod touch using blackra1n and it would ‘nt come out of recovery mode so i tried to reboot it, but my ipod screen turned black and won’t turn on at all… Also when i plug it in to my pc it says unkown device.

My iphone 3g s froze on the apple logo screen had to restore it was on 3.1.2 now it updated me to 3.1.3 and lost my jailbreak…is there going to be a jailbreak for the iphone 3g s soon?

i just watched the jail break for 3.1.2. which it all worked. my friend did his and his is untether. mine is tethered, why? it is an 8 gig 2nd gen i believe. email me if possible

Helppp! I just updated my iphone and I get that I have to jailbreak it again but i accidentally synced it to my itouch and now nothing is there.. no numbers.. nothing.. is there a way to get back to that screen where I can get the options to what I can sync it to? liiikee to my IPHONE?

I downloaded the replacement of that, and now it recognized that file, however it gives me the error: “The procedure entry poing asl_add_log_file could not be located in the dynamic link library ASL.dll.” What do I need to do to fix this?

I used your site to download links to movies. Downloaded great but wont open to watch them. Any help. FYI Didn’t jailbreak the iphone, just downloaded from the list of links.

If you want to jailbreak the latest ipod touch 8gb which way should you jailbreak using spirit or blackrain.

Okay – a new teacher at my school, we live in Korea brought her iPhone with her. we know she can not use it here but she wants to go wi-fi but it will not connect or see any modems over here. I don’t understand – because my ipod touch and my wifes (3g and 2g) can. Mine is from here, and my wife’s is from the states. what can we do to help her connect it to the wifi?

I have an iphone 3g with baseband 05.12.01 and i accidentally (like many other people unfortunately) upgraded the firmware to 3.1.3
I was able to downgrade the firmware back to 3.1.2 using ultrasnow I believe, and my phone is jailbroken, however I cannot get it to unlock so I can use it with Tmobile. Fuzzyband says my bootloader version is 05.09 and that downgrading will only work with baseband bootloader 05.08
I haven’t found anyone that has found a solution to this problem yet, but I’m hoping maybe you have some suggestions other than to keep waiting or buying an older iphone??? Please help! I’m getting frustrated waiting & not being able to use my iPhone as a phone!
I’ve even contacted several iphone repair shop around my area & only one guy has seen one iphone that was unlocked under the same situation as mine but that guy apparently didn’t want to say how he did it, so to the repair shop guy the solution is still a mystery. If worst comes to worst I may sell my iphone & buy a brand new one from ATT & pay the extra canceling fees because I’m not gonna get a contract with ATT when I have Tmobile. The newer iphone(3GS) can be jailbroken & unlocked right??

Ok could someone help me out still confused a little, not sure if I have the 3G or 3Gs but my version is the 3.1.3 I so badly want to jailbreak my phone but with some Tys videos, chats, and forums I will be unable to do so due to ATT yes I do have ATT, but I do keep hearing that once you jailbreak you can switch carriers like to Tmobile, how and why is that? is it also cheaper if an when you switch? I need more answer please to hime me up ASAP

Ty, How you doin? .. wanted to ask you somethin, I have a problem with installous, when I have installous, it deletes my Safari DL so I cant download movies, so I deleted installous, and replaced it with Appcake, but now when I try to download an app, it tells me that the application timed out. is there anything I can do to get Installous to run with Safari DL?

Hi ty, i have been trying to watch the movie links on ur page but everytime i try to download off megaupload the files are uncomplete, also when i try and stream from the site the movies dont play, jus wondering if it the settings on the phone or it juat the websites?

my ipod touch 2nd generation mc model was jailbroken by red sn0w and it was force closing all apps including the default ipod apps like safari and music. i tried a restore and dfu mode but now it just shows the apple symbol on a black screen, it will not do anything now. please help.

Hey my ipod touch 2g is jail broken and just recently a thick line a dead or stuck pixels idk, appeared on my screen and they wont go away except for when i leave it on for a while the middle of the dead/stuck pixel line kind of goes away but when i turn it back off they go blank again. Just did the Jailbreak iPod Touch 2G on Windows you put on youtube and it worked great, but now I can’t download the installous or appcake from cydia. Do you know why? And can I upgrade my ipod touch2 back to it’s higher version and not lose the cydia your tutorial put on my ipod in the first place?

Ty, I am in need of your help and will be glad to donate when done jailbreaking my phone but because of my computer and software ignorance i need your guidance. I have a 3G not updated with new software because I hear it slows the phoine down ? If I need to I will if you say so. Please give me instructions on either or both. i jailbroke my ipod and i did it with no problems at all, but on cydia i went to download a layout with that layout source program thing, and it downloaded, gave me the prompt to reboot my device and i pressed it, and now my ipod will not turn on. i tried plugging it in and resetting it and it still willnot turn on. any way to fix this without having to call apple? that would be great thanks
