Jailbreaking Is Legal!

chance
The EFF has done it! The Library of Congress declared today Monday, July 26th 2010 that Jailbreaking is legal. This means that iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users can now legally jailbreak and unlock their devices to use 3rd party apps not approved by Apple. This isn’t going to stop Apple from doing software updates to fix the jailbreaks but we can officially say its legal. Apple still can deny service to owners of a Jailbroken phone because apparently it does still void their warranty but a restore will fix that. :) Spread the word!!! More info inside! Verizon + AT&T = iPhones For All?

According to the AT&T news room page on att.com AT&T will acquire wireless properties, including licenses, network assets and 1,500,000 million current subscribers in 79 service areas. Could this also mean that they will ‘Bond’ services? Could this mean that they will share phones? Will THIS be the finale to a Verizon iPhone? When Verizon bought Alltel they shared phones. Same could happen here, can it? For more info on this topic, read it directly from the AT&T News Room.

Handy Light: Flashlight with hidden secrets

Handy Light. Just another flashlight app in the AppStore we can find room for on your iPhones. But just so happens this one is was special. The developers actually stealthily added tethering within the application! It allowed secret tethering from within the application. No jailbroken device and additional fees required. Sadly, it got pulled very rapidly so those just hearing about it can’t get it. But maybe, some special person who might own a forum which has this application cracked could help us out? :)

Poll: Do you have antenna issues with the iPhone 4? + Have you contacted AppleCare about them?

So Apple’s press conference to address the iPhone 4 antenna issues just wrapped up. According to Apple only 0.55% of iPhone 4 users have contacted AppleCare with antenna issues. So what I want to see is REAL data from the users themselves. How many of you have issues with the iPhone 4’s antenna, and how many of you have contacted AppleCare. If you own an iPhone 4 PLEASE vote on both polls even if you haven’t had issues with the antenna. In one month from now I am going to send these results to Steve Jobs himself.

Do you have antenna issues with the iPhone 4?
I have dropped calls and no signal a lot.
I noticed my bars drop but I don’t have dropped calls.
I did but I got a case and the issues stopped.
I have a case on it but I am still having signal problems.
I haven’t had problems with my signal dropping at all.

Okay iPhone, Tell Me Where Steve Touched You

The iPhone 4 is the most amazing phone we’ve seen come out since… The iPhone ONE! iPhone 4 has new designs that allow space with-in the phone. One of these is the Steel band around the device, acting as an antenna. Sounds like a great idea right! But Apple seems to be having problems with this. Apparently when you hold the phone a certain way it loosing signal. Even worse, the software is showing a full bar set at this time. Apple has acknowledged this ‘incorrect formula’, and are fixing it. They also plan on altering the signal bars to display the correct signals. Continue Reading…
